Researcher guidance
Choosing a Reporting Checklist for a Research Paper
Choose a reporting guideline appropriate to the study type and the target journal’s requirements. A completed checklist helps organize reporting but does not by itself validate the study.
Where can health researchers find reporting guidance?
The EQUATOR Network maintains a library covering different health-research study types. Check the current guideline and any relevant extension rather than reusing an unrelated checklist.
What should authors cross-check?
Confirm that each claimed checklist item is actually addressed in the manuscript. Include locations where requested and explain any item that does not apply.
